This course covers an introduction to the American economy. Topics include: scarcity, opportunity cost and the production possibility curve, unemployment, inflation, GDP and related aggregates, economic growth, classical Keynesian models of income and employment determination, government policies for full employment and price stability, and money and the banking system. This course satisfies the College's General Education requirement for Community and Cultural Contexts.
